I have no problem with Tauriel if she sticks to canon. And her interest in Kili isn’t breaking it. Elves are the most beautiful things on the planet, and Kili was never as prejudice against elves as Thorin. And the fact she’s a warrior? So what? Eowyn was the first woman warrior of the Rohirrim. I see no reason to hate on Tauriel before seeing her character. Lurtz was an OC, and more of a Stu (killed a canon character, strongest uruk, and just there to be badass) but I see no one complaining about him.
